Oleksandra Matviychuk is a Ukrainian human rights defender and leader of the Center for Civil Liberties. Oleksandra also coordinates the work of the initiative group Euromaidan SOS that monitors political persecution in temporarily occupied Crimea and documents war crimes and crimes against humanity. She is the author of a number of alternative reports to various UN bodies, the Council of Europe, EU, OSCE and the International Criminal Court. In June 2021, Matviichuk was nominated to the United Nations Committee against Torture, making history as Ukraine's first female candidate to the committee.
