Commissioner for Enlargement, European Commission
Marta Kos is the Commissioner for Enlargement. She drives the European Union’s enlargement process forward and develops the EU’s relations with countries in the region, including in the Western Balkans, Ukraine and Moldova. With extensive diplomatic and leadership experience, she previously served as Slovenia’s ambassador to Switzerland, Germany, and Latvia. She was also Vice-President for International Relations at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia and Director of the Government Public Relations and Media Office, where she acted as the Slovenian government’s spokesperson.
