DORJRAA MUNKHTUR
Ambassador at Large for Democracy, Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Mongolia
Dorjraa Munkhtur is a diplomat and security policy expert with over two decades of experience in international relations, strategic studies, and European affairs. He currently serves as Ambassador-at-Large for Security Policy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.
From 2019 to 2023, he was Minister-Counsellor at the Embassy of Mongolia to the Federal Republic of Germany, where he advanced bilateral cooperation in key areas of politics, security, and economic development. Prior to this, he held senior positions at the Institute for Strategic Studies of Mongolia, under the National Security Council, serving as Vice Director and Dean of Research (2016–2019) and as Head of the Division for European Studies (2010–2016).
Dr. Munkhtur holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Münster (Germany), where he also completed a Master’s degree in Political Science with a specialization in Public Law. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in German Studies and International Relations from the National University of Mongolia.
