Emmy Otim has more than twenty years of experience designing and implementing internationally funded democracy and governance programmes across Africa. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with political parties, parliamentary caucuses, and regional political academies to strengthen institutional capacity, democratic governance, and political leadership.
An accomplished political leadership trainer, campaign strategist, and facilitator, he has delivered leadership development, campaign management, election monitoring, and organisational development programmes in more than sixteen African countries. His extensive regional experience has enabled him to develop practical training tools and manuals that support democratic institutions and political actors across the continent.
Currently, Emmy serves as Regional Manager for East Africa at KIC Sweden, where he oversees the Program for Young Politicians in Africa (PYPA), the Empowering Women in Politics (EWIP) programme, and the WYDE programme. He also led the development of the first Pan-African Leadership Manual for the African Union, providing a framework to strengthen leadership development across the continent.
