INMA D. ALONSO
Head of EU-Latin America and Caribbean Relations and Development Financing at the Coordinating Committee of Development Organisations
Inma Alonso is the Head of EU-Latin America and Caribbean Relations and Development Financing at the Coordinating Committee of Development Organisations (La Coordinadora). She has nearly 20 years of professional experience in civil society organisations —in Spain and 12 countries in Africa and Latin America— leading strategies in public affairs and political and social advocacy; corporate positioning and reputation; and communication, PR, awareness-raising and mobilisation.
She holds a degree in Communication Sciences-Journalism (University of Malaga); a master’s degree in Political Action, Institutional Strengthening and Citizen Participation in the Rule of Law —with a specialisation in equality and gender violence— (Francisco de Vitoria University, Madrid); and a postgraduate degree in International Information (Complutense University of Madrid). She is a doctoral candidate in Spanish Language, Literature and Communication (University of Valladolid), where she researches public attention policies and the construction of democratic quality indicators in relation to communication.
