Olga Aivazovska is Head of the Board of the Civil Network OPORA, an international expert on electoral issues and legislative drafting, and a co-founder of the International Center for Ukrainian Victory and the Center for Assistance in War Crimes Documentation (Warsaw). She is deeply involved in efforts to strengthen democracy, good governance, and electoral processes. Civil Network OPORA, under her leadership, is Ukraine’s premier domestic election observation network and democracy think tank.

Ms. Aivazovska was the director of over 20 national nonpartisan observation missions in Ukraine, with over 25,000 activists involved from 2010 to 2020. She also participated in numerous electoral observation missions abroad. She represented Ukraine in the political subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group (Ukraine-Russia-OSCE), settling the military conflict in Eastern Ukraine (2016-2018), Till 2023, Ms Aivazovska was the Chair of the Board at the Global Network for National Election Monitors (GNDEM), which unites over 250 non-governmental monitoring organizations in more than 80 countries worldwide. In 2025, Olga Aivazovska received the “UP100. Power of Women” award from “Ukrainska Pravda” in the “Society” category. Olga often participates in political TV programs and publishes articles on electoral legislation reform and the advancement of democracy.

Olga Aivazovska is an alumnus of the Draper Hills Summer Fellowship on Democracy and Development Program at Stanford, the Ukrainian School of Political Studies, and the Aspen Kyiv Institute.
