TOBI AYENI
Head of Centre of Expertise, Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD)
Tobi Ayeni is Westminster Foundation for Democracy’s (WFD) Head, Centre of Expertise (CoE). As part of this role, Tobi oversees and manages the Centre and WFD’s CoE team delivering its technical, advisory and research services. Tobi provides technical input and leadership in shaping and designing enquiries and responses as well as in the development of other CoE and WFD products and services.
Tobi has over 15 years of experience in international development and programme management, with a focus on public sector management, independent oversight bodies e.g. Ombuds institutions, decentralisation and devolution, parliamentary strengthening and institutional development. She has worked across programmes in the Pacific, Caribbean, Asia, Middle East and North Africa, and most extensively in sub-Saharan Africa.
Tobi has a MSc in Public Policy and Administration from the London School of Economics (LSE) with a specialisation in Public Management, MSc in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and a first-class BA Honours from Queen Mary, University of London. She also has a certificate in Post-Legislative Scrutiny from the University of London.
