On 17 September 2026, Brussels will host the 12th edition of International Democracy Day (IDD) Brussels, bringing together democracy leaders, institutions and activists from across the globe.
This year’s theme, “What’s Next for Democracy? | Innovation and Alliances in a Changing World,” will explore how innovation, collaboration and new alliances can help strengthen democracy in a rapidly changing world.
